I received this book in return for an honest review.
Eve is trying to avoid human contact at a party that her friend insisted she go to. She is socially awkward and could think of better ways to spend her time but in the process of escaping to an unoccupied area she stumbles into the cemetery at the back of the property. It is there that she meets Theo. Theo likes humans, especially when their blood is coursing down his throat but he doesn’t see Eve as a quick meal ticket.
Their romance begins with plenty of realistic friction and magnetism and the story unfolds at a fast pace. The supernatural world is set up nicely for further books in the series and there’s plenty of variety in the nature of the supernatural beings. The attention to detail was strong enough to immerse the reader but not too strong to drown them. A fantastic read.
