Saint Death by Mark Dawson

John wants to disappear and keep off the intelligence radars and after several months ends up in the depths of cartel land, Mexico. He tries to stay out of sight by being a fry cook but when the restaurant he works in is targeted by gunmen he can’t help but spin into action, putting himself in the sights of the cartel boss.

He teams up with the only good cop in the city and a conscientious bounty hunter to try and save the cartel’s latest target but she doesn’t make it easy for them.

Another brilliant addition to the series in yet another location. It’s hard to not love a character who is fighting for the underdog, even if he is flawed with addiction and a past that he needs to atone for.
