Fin is back on the island after divorcing his wife and quitting the police force. It isn’t long before he’s thrown back into the detective scene. A body washes up on the shore and he has to find out what happened before it tears another family apart.
This is even more haunting than the first book in the series. Fin takes us through the clues that lead back to Charlie’s Beach while Tormod tells the story in fragments through the eyes of a man with Alzheimers. Both lead to danger. The story is beautifully told, tragic, and gripping.
