Prescient (Book 1) by Derek Murphy

Alicia jumps at the chance to hang out in Brett’s bedroom but had she known it would change her life and possibly everyone else’s she might have steered clear. Instead, she is thrown into a future existence with no clue as to what is happening. The future doesn’t look so hot and she is the only one who can save it. The question is, who can she trust?

This dystopian novel hooked me from the start. Alicia’s character is witty and sweet but she soon toughens up. The plot unravels slowly with glimpses of the future but it is part of a series so it leaves many questions unanswered.

This is an incredibly engaging book, with plenty of mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
